A Short History Of My Time At Disney World

Did you know I worked at Disney?

If you’ve ever been in my company since 2016 then it’s most likely that you do know this piece of information. But, if you’ve never met me, here’s a quick rundown of my history working for Mickey Mouse in Orlando, Florida.

July 2015

Disney CEP Application

I applied for my first ever Disney program just after my first year at university. The program would allow me to work at Walt Disney World during the Summer of 2016.

October 2015

Disney CEP Group Interview

I was invited to a group interview down at Yummy Jobs HQ in Epping.

October 2015

November 2015

Disney CEP Final Interview

I was invited to Disney Headquarters in Hammersmith for my final one to one interviews with the Disney recruiters from America.

November 2015

December 2015

CEP Offer

I got the email from Disney International Programs to confirm I’d been accepted and that I’d be starting as a custodian at Walt Disney World in June 2016!

December 2015

June 2016 - August 2016

Disney CEP 2016

I flew out to Florida to complete 10 weeks of working at Magic Kingdom as a custodial for what would be one of the best summers of my life (to date!).

June 2016 - August 2016

July 2017

Disney CRP Application

I applied for the Disney Cultural Representative Program – specifically to work at the Historical Research Center in Epcot.

Pre-Screen Interview

I had my pre-screen interview with Natalie from Yummy Jobs.

August 2017

October 2017

Disney HQ Interviews

An interview at Disney HQ in Hammersmith with recruiters from Walt Disney World. For most people this is the final step in their CRP application, however I still had another interview to go with the HRC manager and owner, to make sure they liked me!

December 2017

Final Interview

I had my final phone interview with Marianne (manager of HRC) and Bev (the owner), Sue Sharpe from Disney was also on the line while I interviewed.

Offer of CRP

I got the phone call from Natalie at Yummy Jobs to tell me I’d been offered a 15 month work placement at HRC. I’d be working in Epcot between October 2018 and January 2020!

Disney CRP

I worked at HRC in the UK Pavilion of Epcot for 15 months, making some of the best friends and memories I’ll forever be grateful for.
